A Mildred Moment.................A LAUGH : ....On recognizing yourself ???????. Our former president, Bill Clinton was visiting a nursing home in Arkansas. He leaned over into an elderly man's face and said, "Do you know who I am?" The old man replied, "no but if you will go up to the front desk, they will tell you". On how much to tip. A man was eating a meal at a restaurant. He checks his pockets and leaves his tip -- three pennies. As he strides toward the door, his waitress muses, only half to herself, "You know, you can tell a lot about a man by the tip he leaves." The man turns around, curiosity getting the better of him. "Oh, really? Tell me, what does my tip say?" "Well, this penny tells me you're a thrifty man." Barely able to conceal his pride, the man utters, "Hmm, true enough." "And this penny, it tells me you're a bachelor." Surprised at her perception, he says, "Well, that's true, too." "And the third penny tells me that your father was one, too." |

Tips from the Super Supervisor 1 video.
Below is a true story that proves recognition and making someone feel important works at home:
Last year when I spoke at a women's conference in Anderson, SC a lady walked up to me and said, "My husband came home from one of your seminars a changed man", I said ,"Oh?, tell me about it." She continued, "He sat me down and told me how much he appreciated me, that I was the most important thing in his life", and he apologized for taking me for granted." She went on, "It has been like a honeymoon around our house ever since and is still going on!" I asked how long and she said, "over 6 months, and since I handle the finances in the family, he has a lot more "walking around" money than he did before". We all had a good laugh, and I told her I hoped the honeymoon would last a lifetime.
This incident reminded me again of the little 4 word sermon I preach to my male audiences?..Happy wife??.Happy life!
.
WOW! The best blessing in the world is finding out that you have been a blessing!
Love,
Super Supervisor Book is a standard reference at grocery chain
From: Jesse Lewis,
chief Operating Officer at Food City.
Mildred, as I stated at the meeting with our people, I have read management
books by the great gurus such as Peter Drucker, Jim Collins, Jack Welch,
Tom Petereson, but no book has ever meant as much to me as The Super
Supervisor. We use it as a text book in our supervisory training and
every supervisor in our company has a copy
Thank you Mr Lewis and happy Thanksgiving to all!
